Apple has been flagged, in its latest update to its App Store developer guidelines for iPhone and iPad 9to5Macsays it will allow emulation of game consoles – and even downloadable games.
However, Apple warns developers that they are “responsible for all such software provided in… [their] Application, including ensuring that such software complies with these Guidelines and all applicable laws. So don’t expect to play super mario spyro, Or a third game series starting with the letter “S”.

OpenAI and Google trained their AI models using transcribed text from YouTube videos, potentially violating content creators’ copyrights, according to a report from New York times. The report focuses on how OpenAI, Google, and Meta are trying to maximize the data they can feed to their AI systems and cites several people with knowledge of the companies’ practices.
Not that these companies relied on the automatically generated (hit-and-miss) transcripts provided by YouTube itself. OpenAI reportedly used speech recognition tool Whisper to transcribe more than a million hours of YouTube videos for GPT-4 training. However, the report claims that people at Google knew about this but did not act, because Google was doing the same thing to train its own AI models. Google said The New York Times It only uses video content from creators who have approved it.

Musk made the announcement on X.
After hours Reuters published a report on the automaker canceling its plans to produce a low-cost electric car, and Tesla boss Elon Musk spoke to X to say that the company will unveil a robotaxi on August 8. The same report said Musk’s directive was to “move forward” with everything robotaxi built on the company’s small vehicle platform.
In response to the report, Tesla’s CEO tweeted: “Reuters is lying (again).” Given his confirmation of robotaxi plans, he meant that an affordable Tesla EV was still on the table, at least for now.

There are three companies in operation.
Three companies are pitching designs for lunar rovers to support NASA’s upcoming Artemis missions. The space agency announced this week that it has selected Intuitive Machines, Lunar Outpost, and Venturi Astrolab to develop lunar terrain vehicles (LTV) in a feasibility study over the next year. The LTV will need to operate as both a manned and unmanned vehicle, sometimes serving as a transport for astronauts and other times as a remotely operated explorer. NASA says it will contract the chosen rover for lunar services through 2039. Take a look at the options.
