But pregnancy wasn’t the only surprise! The couple also revealed that they are not expecting their two little bundles of joy. Yes, you read that right. Gaby Sidibe and Brandon will welcome twins this year!
“I’m pregnant! We thought it was time to give our cats some responsibility, so we’re giving each of them a baby to care for! Double the babies, double the kittens, double the fun!! Twins delivered soon! Twenty-four-twenty.” the actress wrote in her caption.

Gabourey Sidibe kept her announcement simple with a circular post featuring four photos. It appears that the couple was shopping at the Babylist Shop. It’s a personal shopping experience and part of the popular online registry for waiting families.

Gaby Sidibe appeared in the photos, wearing a hot pink long-sleeved dress with black shoes. Meanwhile, her husband was wearing a black T-shirt, black pants and peach-colored sneakers. Two of the four photos show Brandon holding his wife’s bump from behind while they were posing for the camera.
Another showed them carrying a double stroller, but we can’t say whether they left the store in it or not. In the final shot, Gabby holds her double bump in profile.

The pregnancy news comes just months after the 40-year-old revealed in December that she and Brandon will marry in 2021. She has been engaged since November 2020 after meeting on a dating app, according to PEOPLE. In 2022, she told Brides magazine that their first date lasted “over seven hours.”
Their simple “kitchen table” wedding came about four months after the proposal.
