Calling the police for a Willy Wonka-like experience: ‘An absolute hoax’

A disclaimer at the end of its website reads: “This experience is in no way related to the Wonka franchise owned by Warner Bros.”

People quickly realized that it was far from what the organizers had promised.

Stuart Sinclair, who said he took his children to the event, described it as “absolute chaos”.

A Police Scotland representative said, according to Sky News, that police were called and “counseling has been provided.”

X users speculated The images used by organizers online were created by artificial intelligence. Many of the images featured on the site contain signs of AI art, and Business Insider was able to create very similar images using AI.

The House of Illuminati did not immediately respond to a request for comment regarding the use of artificial intelligence in marketing images.

In his Facebook post, Sinclair said the company was “nothing more than an absolute scam.”

After being promised chocolate fountains, Sinclair said his children received two jelly beans and a small drink. He added that tickets to the event cost him £35, or about $44 per person.

House of the Illuminati he said in a Facebook post Saturday Night: “Today has been a very stressful and frustrating day for many, and for that we are truly sorry.

“Unfortunately, we were let down last minute in many aspects of our event and we tried our best to keep going and move forward, and now realize we probably should have canceled first thing this morning instead.

“We fully apologize for what happened and will provide full refunds to everyone who purchased tickets.”
