The Dyson V15 Detect not only sucks out the dirt in your home, it analyzes it to give you a report on what it has cleaned too. It has an LCD display on the back end that will show you the particle count and a breakdown of the different particle size combinations. The display will also let you know how much playback time is left before needing to recharge. Dyson says it runs on average for up to 60 minutes, and optimizes suction and run time based on the level of mess you’re cleaning up.
Aside from the great extra features, it’s a real powerhouse when it comes to cleaning. Engadget Matt Smith said it is the most powerful vacuum he has ever used, even competing with heavier vacuums. It has three cleaning modes to choose from: Eco, Auto and Boost. The vacuum brush bar has an anti-tangle design to better handle things like hair that tends to get tangled. There’s also a separate hair curler included with the V15 attachments for those households that need to tackle the issue with a little more force.
The Dyson V15 Detect comes with a crevice tool to help you get into hard-to-reach areas, and can be converted into a handheld vacuum for smaller tasks. It also comes in the box with a wall mount, assembly tool, and charging adapter.
