Casetify is mostly known for making durable and stylish phone cases, but they also have many eco-friendly options. The latest is Biodegradable line, which is made from a 100 percent plant-based and biodegradable material called “Ecotify.” Basically, it’s a combination of bamboo, biopolymers and starch.
The regular compostable line has a drop protection of about four feet, while the Ultra Compostable line, with additional corner bumpers, has a drop protection of about 6.6 feet. My recommendation is to use the more durable Ultra Compostable option, even if it costs a little more.
Unfortunately, Casetify’s Compostable line is only available for iPhones, but they make other types of sustainable cases for both iPhones and Samsung Galaxy devices—they’re not biodegradable. Instead, it’s made from 65 percent recycled materials. Additionally, Casetify offers the option to return your old case, which will then be reused or recycled to create a new case, thus reducing waste.
The biggest advantage of Casetify cases is that they are highly customizable. Not only can you choose your favorite colors and designs (Castify regularly collaborates with brands and illustrators to come up with unique styles), but you can actually add patterns to it, too.
