It is the new broadcast home of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor as part of a multi-year deal. This year’s award will go to Kevin Hart, who is being honored “for his extraordinary contributions to the genre and his remarkable achievements in comedy, film and television.” The likes of Dave Chappelle, Jimmy Fallon, Tiffany Haddish, Regina Hall, Chelsea Handler, Nelly, Chris Rock, and Jerry Seinfeld are scheduled to honor (and perhaps roast him a little) Hart at the ceremony. The Mark Twain Award is in its 25th year and is perhaps one of the most prestigious comedy awards in the United States.
