Kevin can be heard telling her at the time: “I’m committed to our family. I’m committed to you and our marriage, no matter what happens. I’ll be here to support you in any way I can.”

He has since filed for divorce from Ruby, with his lawyer saying the couple had been living apart for more than a year before her arrest.

H! News reached out to Robbie, Kevin and Judy’s attorneys for comment on the phone call but has not received a response.

Ruby – who ran the YouTube channel 8 Passengers – was sentenced on February 20 to four to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to four counts of child abuse. After she was sentenced, her lawyer made it clear that she did not intend to appeal the ruling.

The family vlogger was originally arrested on aggravated child abuse charges in August when Utah State Police received a report of a starving child and investigated the allegations, Santa Clara Ivins Department of Public Safety said in a news release.

Authorities determined the child’s condition to be “serious,” as he appeared “emaciated and malnourished,” and had “open wounds and duct tape around his limbs.”

During the hearing, Ruby apologized to her children and husband.

“Over the past four years, I have chosen to follow advice and guidance that led me down a dark delusion,” Ruby said in court, broadcast live on the Utah Court’s website. “My distorted version of reality went largely unverified because I would be isolated from anyone who challenged me.”

Addressing her children, she added: “I believed that darkness was light and right was wrong.” “I would do anything in this world for you. I took everything that was soft, safe, and good from you.”
