Walmart would have to sell a kidney to buy a massive 4K TV for the living room. This is no longer true, as TV prices continue to fall. for example? Vizio just announced a new 86-inch 4K smart TV that costs just $999.
The first thing worth noting about the newest member of Vizio’s lineup of 4K TVs is its size. The next largest model is 75 inches and is already large enough to take up most spaces. This thing would be like having a Times Square billboard in your living room. That’s not a bad thing, especially for home theater enthusiasts.
We don’t know what this suite will look like in action yet, but it offers a wide range of features. Vizio says it “has the same strong picture quality as its predecessors,” thanks to the inclusion of Dolby Vision HDR and HDR10+. The company also promises that the TV can run games at 120fps once you switch to 1080p. Here’s hoping the product can. Other features include dual-band Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and DTS:X audio.
Walmart agreed, though the deal still faces regulatory approval. The 86-inch 4K TV will officially go on sale on April 29 at physical and digital retailers.
