In 2019, the family of Apple engineer Wei Lun Huang (aka Walter Huang) filed a lawsuit against Tesla a year after he was killed when his Model The automaker settled the lawsuit — on the same day a jury was supposed to be selected. Tesla’s lawyers asked the court to seal the settlement agreement so that the payment amount would not be made public.
Tesla confirmed shortly after the accident that Autopilot was on at the time of the accident, but also insisted that Huang had time to react and had an unobstructed view of the splitter. In a statement to the press, the company insisted that the driver was at fault, and that the only way the accident could have occurred was because Huang “was not paying attention to the road.”
The investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) found that Huang was playing a mobile phone game, but could not confirm whether he was holding the phone during the collision.

Spotify is dipping its toe into the world of artificial intelligence claims. It announced AI Playlist, a new experimental feature for creating playlists with just a few words to get to the musical vibe you want, like “a popular indie playlist to give my brain a big warm hug.” Ugh.
The trial is available to Premium subscribers on Android and iOS devices in the UK and Australia. You can access it through the + button located at the top right of your library. Click on the AI playlist and unleash your imagination.
