Researchers at the University of Southern Denmark attached the clutch system to a Tarot 650 Sport drone, which they customized with an electric quadcopter propulsion system and autopilot unit. The inductive charger draws current from the power line, enabling it to recharge five times in two hours during tests. The benefit here is that the power lines are already in place, but there is real concern that a drone could damage a line and knock out power to thousands.

There is a thriving black market for satellite Internet providers.
According to a report by L The Wall Street JournalRussian forces in Ukraine use Starlink satellite internet terminals to coordinate attacks in eastern Ukraine and Crimea as well as to control drones and other forms of military technology. Starlink devices reach Russian forces through a complex network of black market sellers. After reports in February that Russian forces were using Starlink, Democrats in the US House of Representatives called on Musk to act, noting that Russian military use of the technology “would likely violate US sanctions and export controls.” Starlink can disable individual stations.

The Motion Picture Association will work with politicians.
Charles Rifkin, president and CEO of the Motion Picture Association, has unveiled a plan to “navigate the digital seas,” making it more difficult to stream or download pirated content. Rifkin said that the association will work with Congress to develop and implement website blocking legislation in the United States. He added that nearly 60 countries use blocking websites as a tool against piracy.
