This deal represents the best price we’ve seen for Meta’s entry-level VR headset, and comes with a $50 store credit at no additional cost.
At Walmart, the discount comes with a $50 Meta Quest Store credit. The retailer says you’ll need to redeem the VR credit within 90 days of activating the headset, but it’s still a great way to save any games or apps you plan to use first. Meanwhile, Best Buy is offering an additional Logitech’s Chorus speaker at no additional cost. (Although we haven’t tested this accessory.) There are no special rewards at Amazon as of this writing, but the deal comes as part of the company’s broader Big Spring Sale event.
We gave the Quest 2 a review score of 89 when it was released back in 2020, and it’s now our top budget pick in our guide to the best VR headsets. To be clear, if you can afford the newer Meta Quest 3, you should still buy that instead: it has better displays, a faster processor, more RAM, and a modicum of mixed reality functionality.
