Amazing benefits for the face of ice

[ad_1]

My friend Lauren Bostick, host of The Skinny Confidential, is guest posting today! She’s an expert in skincare routines and a big fan of ice facials (the subject of her article today). Today, she shares with us her tips for getting glowing skin!

It’s a pleasure to be a guest on Wellness Mama today. From the blog to the Wellnesse line to Katie herself, I’ve been a huge fan of hers for years. Katie was on Show him and her A few years ago we talked about how to improve all areas of your life, running a business, raising children, and more. It has been a great destination for health and wellness topics for a while now.

my story

Anyway, I am here today to talk about the benefits of ice on your face. My name is Lauryn Bosstick and I am the creator, founder, author, and co-host of the podcast behind The Skinny Confidential.

A few years ago, we launched a line of pink preventive beauty tools that you can easily incorporate into your daily routine. The first product we launched was The Skinny Confidential Ice Roller, and to this day it is one of our best-selling products.

It all started when I had… Double jaw surgery He underwent a horrific recovery process. The recovery time was twice what I thought it would be, and left me bloated, looking like the sloth from The Goonies, and with a bit of an identity crisis if I’m being honest. When I say I’ve tried everything under the sun to speed up the healing process and reduce swelling, I mean everything.

The thing I found best was the ice rolling. I’ll be buying these cheap little snow rollers from Amazon one by one. Why? Because it’s broken and won’t stay cold for long at all.

Ice rolling worked for me. Applying ice to the face immediately reduced the puffiness and redness, and I felt very good. Through moderate massage as well, it helped drain my lymph nodes, de-puff and helped me restore my jawline.

A few years later, the team and I launched our own snow roller, but like the Rolls Royce of snow rollers. Think big silicone handle, an aluminum spool that stays cool for years, a thumbprint for ultimate control, and something that lasts, and doesn’t break after a few weeks. Plus, like all TSC skincare products, it’s pretty and pink and you’ll want to display it on your dressing table.

So, let’s learn about the benefits of applying ice to your skin and cold temperatures to your face.

Benefits of ice facial for your face

Reduces inflammation and bloating

Ice is a natural anti-inflammatory, reduces swelling and helps treat skin conditions. So, apply some ice to your face and say goodbye to the angry redness caused by pimples, rashes, blemishes, and/or irritation.

Reduces the appearance of pores

We all want to look like we have baby soft skin. Ice can help reduce the appearance of pores by constricting blood vessels and trapping the products you use. So, apply some ice to your face to get one step closer to having super smooth skin.

Soothes and soothes sensitive skin

If you have sensitive skin, ice facials are a great way to soothe and calm it by reducing redness, inflammation, and swelling. It’s also an excellent way to prevent breakouts for people with eczema or rosacea, promoting blood circulation and skin health.

Plus, It has been said Using ice therapy twice daily for 20 minutes over 6 weeks can increase the thickness of your skin by up to 32%. Rubbing ice on your face helps boost blood circulation, which supports healthy skin and helps reverse the aging process.

Helps makeup last longer

Ice helps keep the skin fresh and acts as a moisturizer, which greatly helps prepare your skin cells for makeup application. This allows for better product application, and better application means your makeup will last longer.

Reduces the appearance of bags under the eyes

Applying ice to the under-eye area can help reduce puffiness and dark circles, giving the appearance of under-eye bags less. Get ready to reduce puffy eyes and look like you got a full 8 hours of sleep, even if you only got 5 hours.

Gives an instant face lift

Who needs plastic surgery when you have snow? Ice can give an instant face lift by tightening and firming the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Much better than spending money at the dermatologist on things like retinol and peels with potentially unwanted side effects. So, forget spending thousands of dollars on plastic surgery and get some ice instead.

How to use the Skinny Confidential Ice Roller to exfoliate your face with ice:

  • Store the roller in the refrigerator or freezer, depending on your preference.
  • If you choose the freezer, wrap it around your wrist about 8 times before using it on your face (we want to make sure it’s not too cold).
  • Roll in an upward and outward direction across your face, then down the sides of your neck to drain the lymph.
  • Repeat as much as you want.

Personally, I roll ice the minute I wake up. Well almost. I scrape the tongue with the Wellnesse Copper Tongue Scraper first, then roll the ice. I also do this before my skincare and makeup routine.

Important tips for your ice cylinder:

  • When traveling, use the hotel’s ice bucket to keep the roller cool (the wine bucket at the beach club works well, too).
  • Store the cylinder in our sleeping bag to keep it free of bacteria and frozen peas in the freezer.
  • Wrap your sore muscles in ice after a strenuous workout, too.
  • To clean the roller, use a neutral detergent and a soft, damp cloth. Make a lather and wipe it off. Let it air dry on your counter.

If you don’t want a roller, just take an ice cube and run it over your face. You can also fill a bowl with water and ice and give your face a cold ice bath with ice water. Everything works.

Experience the benefits of ice for the face for yourself!

We hope this post gets you interested in cold therapy for your face if you aren’t already. Be sure to listen to Katie’s episode of the HIM & HER Show and check out her guest post on The Skinny Confidential.
